Nadine Lustre shares preparation for ‘Indak’

MANILA, Philippines — It has only been half of 2019 yet this year is already proving to be one of Nadine Lustre’s best yet.
Apart from bagging the Best Actress awards on the 67th FAMAS Awards and 42nd Gawad Urian for her outstanding performance in the film “Never Not Love You,” the multimedia queen is back to dominate the silver screens with dance musical film, “Indak.”
After ruling the dance floor every Sunday on noontime show “ASAP” with her fierce production numbers, Nadine swears that her dance prowess in “Indak” is “nothing like you’d ever seen before.”
“Indak” centers on the journey of island girl Jen (Nadine Lustre), who has always been passionate about dancing. When Vin (Sam Concepcion), a member of the prestigious dance group IndakPinas, convinced her to be part of his team as they compete at the World Dance Championship in South Korea, Jen is yet to find out if her passion for dancing is enough to overcome her stage fright and insecurities. The movie is produced by Viva Films and directed by Paul Basinillo.
Nadine’s role as the determined dancer is something that is close to the actress’ heart. The 25-year-old actress is known for being one of the most hardworking stars in the industry today. Like Jen, Nadine has a firm grasp of what she wants and she works hard to get it. Whatever she sets her eyes on, whether it’s acting, dancing, singing, or hosting, the young woman strives to be the best on that field by doing everything a hundred percent.
"We're super excited. It will have a lot of dancing and a lot of production numbers. That’s what I’m looking forward to,” Lustre shared in a report by ABS-CBN’s Push.
She also noted that she went through rigorous dance training for her role in “Indak.” Skechers supports Nadine, its Filipina brand ambassador, as dance has always been part of the brand’s DNA, given its high school and collegiate dance competition Street Dance Battle.
In the movie, Nadine can be seen wearing the best-selling D’Lites and the new Skech-Air, a combination of athletic mesh upper, wrap around air-cushion heel, and memory foam insoles that make the footwear ideal for both dancing and training.
Apart from being a well-acclaimed actress, Nadine has been a celebrated performer through the years. Her fame has gone on ultra heights with her acclaimed RNB song “St4y Up” under boyfriend James Reid’s record label Careless Music. Her sensual, fierce street dance choreography matched with her upbeat fresh music has earned nods from the audience and entertainment critics, which helped her bag the “Artist of the Year” at the MYX Music Awards 2019. — Deni Bernardo
