EXO’s Kai and BLACKPINK’s Jennie are in a relationship — reports

MANILA, Philippines — Attention, EXO-Ls and Blinks! EXO’s Kai and BLACKPINK’s Jennie have been reportedly in a relationship since October last year.

News of their romance was first revealed in a January 1 report by local news tabloid Dispatch, which released photos of the two singers apparently dating at a park and going for a late night drive.

Citing Dispatch, Soompi reported that the pair was in Paris last October to attend separate fashion shows.

“Jennie was at the Chanel show and Kai was at the Gucci show. Kai is also said to have visited Jennie on December 2 after returning from a trip to Hawaii,” Soompi said, fuelling the dating rumors.

Chinese-Korean boy group EXO and girl group BLACKPINK are two of South Korea’s most popular K-pop bands.

The shocking news immediately became a hot topic on social media, as some agencies in Korea have strict dating regulations for K-pop idols. In Korean entertainment industry, fans even consider dating rumors as "scandals," prompting celebrities who have found love to hide their relationship from the public.

SM Entertainment Co. — the agency behind EXO — reportedly confirmed that Jennie and Kai “have good feelings towards each other.”

For its part, YG Entertainment Inc., BLACKPINK's agency, reportedly said: “We had no idea about this. We are looking into it now.”
