WATCH: Alex Gonzaga shares details of MMFF movie with Toni Gonzaga

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Alex Gonzaga is excited for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this December as her film “Mary, Marry Me” with sister Toni Gonzaga is a part of the annual film fest.

In an interview with Philstar.com following her launch as Block & White Sakura White endorser, Alex said that apart from excitement, she did not feel any pressure to win awards for the movie as being a part of the film fest is enough for her.

“Actually hindi pa rin nagsi-sink in sa amin kasi nga iniisip lang namin 'grabe MMFF.' Walang pressure. Actually, ‘yung nakapasok kami is enough to be part of the choices kasi nga noong bata kami ng ate ko pumipila talaga kami 'Crying Ladies,' 'Rubber Man,' 'Mano Po,' 'Shake Rattle and Roll,' sir Dolphy, lahat yon pinapanood naming. Nakapila kami ‘pag December 25. So ngayon naiisip namin ni ate, isa na kami sa mga movies na pagpipilian,” Alex said.

For her first time working with her sister Toni in a movie, Alex said they both learned from each other while filming the movie, which is produced by TEN17P, managed by Toni’s husband, Paul Soriano.

“Parang we've learned more about how we work. Kasi we never really work together sa isang shooting, so nakita namin ‘yong working ethics ng isa-t isa, nakita rin namin yong how we treat our co-workers, so ayon, ang dami niyang sinasabi sa akin, ang dami ko din namang sinasabi sa kanya,” Alex shared.
