MANILA, Philippines — "Meteor Garden" fans in the Philippines will finally get the chance to watch the 2018 reboot of the phenomenal show that took Asia by storm during the early 2000s.

ABS-CBN, which holds the rights to air the show in the country, announced that the Tagalog-dubbed series will premiere on August 20.

It, however, did not specify a timeslot.

The network giant posted the first full Tagalog-dubbed trailer of "Meteor Garden" Wednesday.

The Chinese version stars Shen Yue as Shan Cai, Dylan Wang as Dao Ming Si, Darren Chen as Hua Ze Lei, Connor Leong as Mei Zuo and Caesar Wu as Xi Men.

"Meteor Garden," loosely based on the hit manga series "Hana Yori Dango," first aired in 2001. It was first shown in the Philippine on ABS-CBN in 2003.

The Taiwanese adaptation became a huge hit, catapulting its stars Barbie Shu, Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu to fame. It is also largely credited for the popularity of Asian drama series and pop groups in the country.

The manga also had other popular adaptations—Japan’s "Hana Yori Dango" in 2005 and South Korea’s "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009.
