Annekulit guest line-up

You only turn 21 once in your life and that makes her 21st annivesary in show business a most special event. In keeping with the occasion, Anne Curtis has lined up the most impressive guests ever put together for her Annekulit: Promise Last Na ‘To concert.
Here is her dream cast. These are the singers she admires the most and the ones she has always wanted to sing with. Check out the list and you will know that Anne, who was previously Annebisyosa and Annekapal in concert, means serious business when she decides to do a show.
Set to join Anne in very special numbers at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Aug. 18 are pop princess Sarah Geronimo, heartthrob James Reid, hip-hop sensation Ex Battalion of the massive hit Hayaan Mo Sila, the enduring Aegis of the classics Basang Basa Sa Ulan, Mahal Na Mahal Kita, Maniwala Ka and others and Anne’s ultimate singing idol, Songbird Regine Velasquez.
Annekulit: Promise, Last Na ‘To is a production by Viva Live. It caps what is turning out to be a true significant time for Anne. She has a new album in the works. She has won acclaim as a serious actress in two consecutive box-office hits, Sid and Aya and Buy Bust.
Proceeds from Annekulit will benefit the special projects of Dream Machine Philippines. Tickets to the show are priced at P8,000 (VVIP), which comes with a special gift from Anne and a photo opportunity; P4,770 (VIP); P3,710 (Patron); P2,968 (Box Premium); P2,120 (Box Regular); P1,272 (Upper Box); and P424 (General Admission). Tickets are now available at Ticketnet, 911-5555 and at Viva Live, 687-7236.
And now, here are other shows to watch out for:
Aug. 11, John Ford Coley performs at the Santa Rosa Sports Coliseum in Santa Rosa, Laguna. England Dan will not be present but I am quite sure that co-star Noel Cabangon can be enticed to do duets of I’d Really Love To See You Tonight and Never Have To Say Goodbye or more.
Aug. 26, Boyzone, The 25th Anniversary Tour at the Mall of Asia Arena. This is in line with the release of the group’s Thank You And Goodnight album, which is Boyzone’s way of saying Thank you and not Goodnight but Goodbye to their fans. Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch are disbanding Boyzone after this tour.
I always have reservations about farewells since it is so easy to get back together again. But it would be fun to watch Boyzone do No Matter What, Love Me For A Reason, Daydream Believer, Key To My Life, Father And Son, Words, Picture Of You, Baby Can I Hold You, I Love The Way You Love Me, You Needed Me, What A Wonderful World, Everyday I Love You, and other hits again.
Aug. 26, Why Don’t We in The Invitation Tour at the Samsung Theater in Makati. Just in case you are wondering who Why Don’t We is, I urge you to listen to the big hit Trust Fund Baby, which the great Ed Sheeran himself composed for this cute and exciting young group. The boys are Daniel Seavey, Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais and Jack Avery. They have another biggie coming up, the catchy These Girls.
Sept. 14, Dua Lipa at the MOA. Dua Lipa is the young pop diva of Albanian descent from the UK who is responsible for hits like Be The One, IDGAF, New Rules and One Kiss, a collab with Calvin Harris. I do not know how she performs but she makes great tunes and is a lovely sight.
Sept. 15, Shane Filan of West Life returns solo at the Kia Theater but still armed with the famous West Life hits, Swear It Again, Uptown Girl, If I Let You Go, World Of Our Own, You Raise Me Up, My Love, Everything To Me, Need You Now, Heaven, Unbreakable, What About Now, Beautiful In White and others.
Oct. 5, Sam Smith for the second time at the MOA. The sweet soul balladeer is on his The Thrill Of It All Tour. But not to worry, I am sure he will be ready to sing not only his latest hits, Too Good At Goodbyes, Pray, Burning but also older goodies like Stay With Me and I’m Not The Only One.
Oct. 21, A1 at the Kia Theater. This British-Norwegian group is returning to Asia in a very special show because original member Paul Marazzi is joining Ben Adams, Mark Read and Christian Ingebrigsten for the first time in 15 years. Songs to watch out for are Everytime, Like A Rose, Same Old Brand New You, Caught In The Middle and Heaven By Your Side.
Oct. 26, Mariah Carey at the Araneta Coliseum. The incomparable Mimi returns to Manila armed with her No. 1 hits. One Sweet Day, Vision Of Love, Love Takes Time, Someday, Emotions, Hero, Always Be My Baby, My All, Heartbreaker and maybe, because the date is only a few weeks away from the Christmas holidays, she might just give in and do All I Want For Christmas Is You, her original which became the biggest-selling Christmas song of the pop era.
Oct. 30, New British sensation Calum Scott will be at the Kia Theater for his Only Human Asia Tour. The Brit nominated 29-year-old crooner conquered Britain’s Got Talent with his rendition of Robyn’s Dancing On My Own. Now he is showing off his own compositions, You Are The Reason, Rhythm Inside, Hotel Room, and others in his debut album Only Human.
