MANILA, Philippines — International singing sensation Celine Dion arrived in Manila for the first time for her two-night concert on July 19 and 20 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Heavy rains did not hinder the arrival of the Grammy award-winning singer on Wednesday night as she gamely answered media questions under the rain.

“I had this song that just came out in my head, ‘I came ready... rain or shine, I came ready,'’ Celine sang upon arriving.

Ever since she bagan her music career in 1980, this is the first time that Celine will perform in the Philippines, for which she she said she is very excited.

“I'm very, very excited. I'm not just talking about me, but I'm talking on behalf of all my people, the musicians, the singers, we’re all excited to be here,” she said.

Celine invites her fans to come out and watch her perform. “I can't wait to meet them, I can’t wait to feel them!” she enthused.

In a Facebook post, the singing sensation showed a photo joking about how she would arrive in Manila.

"'I Drove All Night, To Get To You'... my new wheels... low maintenance, really good on gas! (security optional ????)," she said. "Now let's get this little buggy on the road again... next stop, Manila! - Céline xx…"

Apart from being the voice behind the timeless “My Heart Will Go On,” the official soundtrack of the blockbuster movie “Titanic,” Celine's hits also include "The Power of Love," "Because You Loved Me," "It's All Coming Back To Me," "All By Myself," That's The Way It Is," and "To Love You More," to name a few. — Video from Facebook/Ovation Productions
