John Estrada clears name, reunites with Willie Revillame

MANILA, Philippines — Following the exit of his character and his teleserye “The Good Son” in ABS-CBN primetime, John Estada is now with ABS-CBN's rival GMA and is now reportedly reunited with his long-time friend Willie Revillame on afternoon game show “Wowowin.”

John is reportedly to become one of the judges of the show’s segment “Will To Win." The segment is a reality talent competition for groups, duos or individuals. The contestants present their talents on the daily rounds. John sat alongside other judges for the contest during its grand finals' taping.

John and Willie had a long history of friendship together with Randy Santiago. The three hosted “Magandang Tanghali Bayan,” a noon time show in ABS-CBN.

The show has become an alternative for GMA’s “Eat Bulaga!” and later became one of the highest-rating noontime shows in Philippine history. John, Willie and Randy hosted with Roderick Paulate, Amy Perez, and Bayani Agbayani, to name a few.

Prior to his transfer to the Kapuso network to join Willie, John explained his side on allegations that he harassed and had a heated argument with actress and "The Good Son" co-star Mylene Dizon, which led to an alleged slapping incident.

In a recent Instagram post, John refuted the allegations written in a tabloid column titled "John, 'di lang sinikmuraan at sinampal, hinipuan din si Mylene."

Beside the column's screenshot, John said: "D ko basta basta pinapatulan ang mga ganitong kababaw na write up pero d ko ata kaya ang pagsisinungaling ng matandang reporter na to.... ogag ka at napakasinungaling mo.... at kung sino man ang source mo e isa ring ogag yon na katulad mo.... "

John denied that he maltreated Mylene.

"Sa talang buhay ko hinding hindi ako nanakit ng babae dahil pinalaki ako ng nanay at tatay ko ng Tama.... at sa 30 yrs ko sa industriyang ito ni minsan d ako nireklamo ng mga leading ladies ko na nananyansing ako....dahil hindi ako ganon...."

Most importantly, he said, it is not true that he and wife Priscilla Meirelles are on the rocks. "At higit sa lahat.... masaya kame ng ASAWA ko at wala kameng problema....”

John threatened to sue the tabloid columnist.

"Ihanda mo na ang abogado mo dahil kakasuhan kita.... ogag ka.... pasensya nasa mga followers ko... wala lang kasing katotohan ang sinulat nitong matandang to e... diyos na lang ang bahala sa kanya..... salamat nga pala sa kaibigan ko na nagpadala nito sa akin.."
