Amusing revelations about Maymay

It was in 2017 when Maymay Entrata was named the big winner of the ABS-CBN reality show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB): Lucky 7 and just a year after, she already had a movie, a TV series, a solo concert and an album. In case you are not familiar, her first-ever major solo concert exceeded public expectation that led her to be called as the new Concert Princess.

Maymay profusely thanked the people who helped her become what she is today. Her family, particularly her Kuya Vincent, topped her list.

“To my brother, I love you very much and thank you so much for supporting me because during those times when life was so hard for me and you knew about the possible forfeiture of my scholarship, you chose to work abroad for my schooling. Now, I would like to give back all the help you have given me,” said Maymay. 

The 20-year-old Kapamilya talent has been wishing for her brother to come home and continue with his studies. “Gusto ko s’ya paaralin kasi gusto ni kuya na makapagtapos ng pag-aaral.”

When asked if she still wanted to go back to school, Maymay replied: “Me, I will study again probably when he graduates, siya naman magpaaral sa akin, hahaha.”

On being dubbed as the new Concert Princess, there’s nothing she could utter but words of appreciation and gratitude. “For me, I can’t do this on my own. I’ve reached this far through the people who supported me. I am not a professional, but because of them the concert turned out the best so I want to thank the Hotlegs, the make-up artists, the stylists and to all the people who helped to make my concert a success,” said Maymay, who is taking her Dream Tour concert at the Imus Sports Complex in Cavite tomorrow, April 13.

Along with her rosy career is the blooming romance between her and onscreen partner Edward Barber, although Maymay hasn’t confirmed or denied anything regarding the buzz that their “love affair” goes beyond the cameras. But those who avidly follow Maymay’s career are certain that the MayWard loveteam is for real. The glow in Maymay’s aura tells how Edward adds color and joy to her life in spite of heavy workload.

“We’ve become closer,” she revealed. “Nag-I love you-han na kami? I love you as a friend, hahaha. I love you all.”

Another source of Maymay’s happiness is her friendship with Kisses Delavin. The two became close inside the PBB house and up to now, they are bestfriends. Maymay said that their bond is stronger than before after surpassing every challenge that could tear them apart. “Our friendship has turned out beautiful despite the challenges, boring kung walang pagsubok at ito ‘yung nawalan kami ng oras, naging busy kami pareho.” Kisses also had her solo concert at the Kia Theatre last February.  

In the Legit or Lie? portion of Tonight With Boy Abunda, Maymay revealed that she falls asleep while her makeup artist works on her face and added, “May panaginip pa nga ako.”
