The rain may have poured, but the fun and excitement continued in ABS-CBN’s Bida Kapamilya Thank You event held recently at the Enchanted Kingdom, Laguna, as the network brought some of its biggest and brightest stars to thank fans for their unwavering love and support.

“This is an opportunity for us to bring our shows closer to our Kapamilya, from their favorite primetime shows and to other well-loved programs like It’s Showtime,” said Desiree Bretana, head of trade marketing and viewer engagement of ABS-CBN.

La Luna Sangre lead stars Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez led the pack and showed their lighter side, different from their fierce characters as Jacintha and Sandrino. It was Richard’s first time to be part of Bida Kapamilya.

The popular loveteams of ElNella (Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador) and MayWard (Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber) spread the kilig vibes and drew loud cheers from the audience. The audience area was also filled with big banners and other paraphernalia as fans showed their love for the two loveteams.

The stage, meanwhile heated up when Wildflower stars Joseph Marco and Vin Abrenica went up stage and serenaded the crowd with their respective song numbers.

Wildflower lead star Maja Salvador was supposed to join the fun. Unfortunately, she sprained her left ankle during the taping of her hit primetime series and was advised by her doctor to get full rest.

The fun and entertainment continued as the kilig ambassadors of It’s Showtime, Hashtags, gave one hot dance number followed by the sexy and pretty Girl Trends.

Tawag ng Tanghalan grand winner Noven Belleza and divas Maricel Callo, Pauline Agupitan, Gidget dela Llana and Rachel Gabreza, meanwhile, stole the show with their high notes and powerful vocal medley.

Other Kapamilya artists present in the event were La Luna Sangre’s Khalil Ramos; ASAP’s Jason Dy, Kira Balinger and Young JV; Pinoy Big Brother ex-housemate Yong Muhajil; One Music artists Volts Valejo and Unit 406; and the YeY kids. MOR 101.9 DJs Jhai Ho, Ana Ramsey, Joko Loko and Eva Ronda, meanwhile, hosted the fun-filled event.

Aside from the fans and viewers who flocked to the event, ABS-CBN also gave 200 of the company’s security guards, marshals, messengers, utilities, janitors, technical staff and gardeners an instant bonding time with their families as they were given VIP seats in the Bida Kapamilya Thank You show. Enchanted Kingdom also gave them all access to its theme park’s rides, games and amusements.

The chosen beneficiaries were very grateful for the experience and truly felt that they are part of the ABS-CBN family.

“We are very happy that ABS-CBN invited us. Usually, we would have external beneficiaries for our public service programs here, so it was a really a nice opportunity for us. We are happy to be part of this,” said ABS-CBN marshal Arnel Copina.

“As a parent, seeing your child happy already makes you happy. This is really a big deal for us,” said ABS-CBN messenger Marcos Boc.

Kapamilya from Jeepney TV, One Sky, ABS-CBN Mobile, ABS-CBN TVplus and DZMM also participated in the event by setting up booths and giving away instant prizes.

ABS-CBN previously mounted the Bida Kapamilya event at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex last May. The last leg of Bida Kapamilya this year is expected to happen in December.
