Bryan wins ’em with his killer smile

Bryan Temulo is hosting a travel segment on ABS-CBN’s Salamat Dok for two years now. More than just reaching places, he does it to promote health by going to provinces like Zamboanga Del Sur and do organic farming.

While other male celebrities bank on their ruggedly handsome appeal emphasized with a tiger look, Bryan Termulo happily puts on a smile that can probably tame the angriest pretty woman out there. Why not, he really is someone who can vouch that he is a true-blue good boy — face value and the works.

You can’t expect the singer-host to be involved in a brawl on a late night liquor binge with his gang of bohemians. For one, he doesn’t drink or smoke. Secondly, he doesn’t crave for night life and the exciting dangers that go with it.

“Di talaga part ng system ko ang magbisyo. Hindi ako enjoy gawin and probably dahil yun sa upbringing ng parents ko sa akin,” Bryan shares.

No explanation is needed to such kind of upbringing. It’s obvious that his parents Benigno and Ruth Termulo are effective enough to mold a good-natured persona in their son whose definition of excess is a deep interest for traveling.

True enough, Bryan is hosting a travel segment on ABS-CBN’s Salamat Dok for two years now. More than just reaching places, he does it to promote health by going to provinces like Zamboanga Del Sur and do organic farming.

Always sounding like a man that single ladies would like to introduce to their parents, Bryan notices, ”My hosting for Salamat Dok endeared me more to mothers, adventurers and the health-conscious. I hope that I serve well as ice-breaker for those highfalutin medical terms.”

He does and to such positive effect, thanks to his amiable personality.

By personal urge, he flew to Iran which he describes as a safe place. He also visited Russia, a place close to his heart as it is in the tip of his tongue. He is seriously learning how to speak the Russian language that he even enrolled at the Ateneo language school.

Amusingly, by now he knows how to sing around 10 Russian songs. That should sound cool to hear during his live gigs.

A decade back, good guy Bryan won public acclaim after his runner-up finish in Pinoy Pop Superstar 3. He released two albums, the first in 2010 called Begin and two years later the follow-up Hanggang Ngayon which earned gold status.

“Sa akin I don’t put pressure on anything as I believe in destiny. But I don’t stop dreaming. Right now I hope magkaroon ako ng hit songs na tatak-Bryan. Original songs na sasabayan ng tao at identified sa akin,” he says.

That only goes to show he wants to up the ante after solidifying his status as a competent cover artist. Some of the familiar songs he rendered in his own voice are Pagdating Ng Panahon for Dahil Sa Pag-ibig; Dadalhin for Walang Hanggan; and Bakit Ba Ganyan for Honesto.

For a time, he acted in a few teleseryes himself. But now, he is focused on bringing his balladeer voice to a new level, as well as his look and style.

A recent development made sure that his singing career is going on a higher plane this year which is his 10th anniversary in showbiz. He just signed with Asian Artists Agency, Inc. (AAAI), a talent management company.

Bryan is no doubt a dude perfectly fit to the catch line “every good boy does fine.” Adding to that, every good boy like him is blessed.
