Fans root for their faves in 2016 Push Awards

Today’s biggest stars would not be where they are now if not for the unwavering support of their fans.
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, the night’s biggest winners, honored their fans in all of their acceptance speeches at the 2016 Push Awards, the country’s biggest digital media awards.
“You all worked hard for this. You symbolize teamwork and unity. I’ve seen it in KathNiels. Thank you so much for making this night memorable. We love you,” said Kathryn.
While her love team partner Daniel also thanked the KathNiels, he went so far as to thanking all the fans who devote their time and love to their idols.
“To all of those who support different love teams, thank you very much for loving us. To LizQuens and JaDines, thank you. There is nothing else we will do aside from making you happy,” Daniel said.
KathNiel was the biggest winner of the 2016 Push Awards, bagging over five awards. The popular love team bagged the Push Elite Group/Tandem of the Year, which was awarded to them by a distinguished panel of judges. They also won Digital Media Awards, namely the Push Like Group/Tandem, Push Tweet Group/Tandem, Push Gram Group/Tandem and Push Play Group/Tandem awards.
Kathryn won the Push Tweet Female Celebrity and Push Gram Female Celebrity awards, while Daniel won the Push Tweet Male Celebrity award.
Singer Yeng Constantino was also among the major winners of the night as she was hailed the Push Elite Female Celebrity, Push Like Female Celebrity, Push Tweet Music Artist and Push Play Female Celebrity.
Darren Espanto, meanwhile, was named the Push Elite Music Artist, Push Like Male Celebrity, Push Like Music Artist and received the Awesome Popular Song Cover award for I Believe.
The “unkabogable” star Vice Ganda won the Push Gram Male Celebrity, Push Play Male Celebrity, Push Elite Male Celebrity awards and received the Awesome Popular Movie Performance for Beauty and the Bestie.
Teen star Ylona Garcia was named the Push Elite Newcomer, Push Gram Newcomer and Push Play Newcomer.
Meanwhile, LizQuen fans were given the Push Ultimate Fan award for posting the most number of tweets during the voting period.
Aside from the winners, several Kapamilya stars also took center stage and gave performances that entertained viewers.
Rising stars Sue Ramirez and Maris Racal made the audience groove with their upbeat sing and dance performance.
The party continued with all-male group Hashtags giving a kilig treat that fired up the dance floor.
PUSH Awards winner Ylona proved that she is the country’s next big diva as she showcased her vocal prowess, which impressed viewers.
Another winner, Darren also left the audience in awe with his signature high notes as he serenaded the crowd with his performance.
One of ASAP’s Birit Queens Jona also put up a show-stopping number as she gave a heartfelt performance in her rendition of Little Mix’s Secret Love Song.
The other winners in the Popular Awards include Tommy Esguerra (Male Fashion icon), Nadine Lustre (Female Fashion Icon), Maria Letizia Dantes (Celebrity Baby), Karla Estrada (Celebrity Mommy), Zoren Legaspi (Celebrity Dad), Alyssa Valdez (Sports Personality), I Believe by Darren Espanto (Song Cover), Work by Yassi Pressman (Dance Cover), Hugot Lines by Angelica Panganiban (LOL Video), Vice Ganda in Beauty And The Bestie (Movie Performance), James Reid and Nadine Lustre in On The Wings Of Love (TV Performance) and Rod Magaru (Showbiz Blogger).
All the winners of the 2016 Push Awards in the Digital Media Awards and Awesome Awards categories were determined by online votes and validated by third-party auditing group SGV & Co.
The Push Elite Awards, meanwhile, were selected from all the winners in the Digital Media Awards by a distinguished panel composed of ABS-CBN chief digital officer Donald Lim, Cinema One head Ronald Arguelles, bloggers Alber Abelido and Flowell Galindez, Tempo entertainment editor Nestor Cuartero, TV and film director Mae Cruz-Alviar, doctor, lawyer and professor Joey Montemayor and director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
