Tres Kantos, the triumvirate of Bugoy Drilon, Jovit Baldivino and Dominador “Daddy D” Aviola, gave a powerful rendition of Nais Ko and was declared the first Grand CelebriTeam of ABS-CBN’s reality music competition We Love OPM: The Celebrity Sing Offs.

Bugoy, Jovit and Daddy D thanked their supporters and mentor Erik Santos after being declared the winner Sunday night at the Resorts World Manila. The trio garnered a score of 80.45 percent and won the P1M prize. Another P1M prize will be given to their chosen beneficiary Casa San Miguel Foundation.

Nyoy Volante, one of the celebrity mentors, was all praises for Tres Kantos. He said, “Wala kayong patawad. Everytime may performance ang Tres Kantos, walang patawad. Ang galing!”

Ryan “Mr. C” Cayabyab described the performance as “nakakabaliw.” He added, “I was very surprised. Wow, kanta ko ba ito? I almost thought it was a new song.”

And for Erik, the performance was Tres Kantos’ “best gift to all Filipinos around the world.”

During the semi-finals last Saturday, the triumvirate’s interpretation of Eva Eugenio’s famous hit Tukso impressed the judges and the audience. It earned them a slot in the grand finals.

Oh My Girls, another CelebriTeam finalist composed of Ylona Garcia, Krissha Viaje and Alexa Ilacad, performed the song Kailan.

Jay-R said it was challenging for the girls to maintain their vocal composure while remaining still as dolls. He said, “Your harmony was on point. We really enjoyed it.”

Yeng Constantino, the celebrity mentor of Oh My Girls, said the trio made OPM “cool” for the young generation.

Completing the set of CelebriTeam finalists was O Diva, an all-female trio mentored by KZ Tandingan and composed of Liezel Garcia, Klarisse de Guzman and Emmanuelle Vera sang Limang Dipang Tao.

Other CelebriTeams that competed in We Love OPM were Hot Spots (composed of Markki Stroem, Ryan Sy and Alex Diaz) mentored by Jay-R, Power Chords (Kaye Cal, Marlo Mortel and Marion Aunor) by Nyoy Volante, and Voice Next Door (Kyle Echarri, Bailey May and Juan Karlos Labajo) by Richard Poon.
