Rosanna Roces to marry lesbian partner

MANILA, Philippines - "Mas inspirado ako ngayon."

Thus said actress Rosanna Roces as she revealed that she is planning to marry her lesbian lover.

"Kakaiba. Pero, I found my match," she said about her relationship with her partner in an interview with ABS-CBN late night talk show "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Wednesday. Alam mo naman kung paano ako magpalit ng lalaki noon, parang nagpapalit lang ng damit. Parang lahat is an experiment. Pero, yun na, tapos na, wala akong natututunan."

She added:  "Parang may something missing. Ayun, nakita ko na yung something missing."

The revelation may comes as a surprise to some, as the 43-year-old actres has been out of the showbiz limelight except the occasional roles and guest appearances in independent movies and TV shows.

She was married to Tito Molina, with whom she had two children, but they separated in 2004.

Rosanna shared she and her partner first had a relationship when she was 15 years old. However, they separated when she became pregnant with her first child.

"When I was 15, meron akong ka-on. Babae siya, di ba. Kasama ko siya sa bahay with my father, my mother. Si Grace, yung anak kong panganay, ang totoo n'yan, ginawa ko si Grace para maging anak namin," she narrated.

She further shared: "N'ung yung tiyan ko five months na, akala niya mahal ko yung tatay ni Grace, which is  not (true). Ginamit ko lang talaga siya para magkaroon ng baby na palalakihin namin. So naghiwalay kami."

"And after n'un, wala na akong seryosong relasyon, kahit 'yung esposo ko... Parang may kulang, e. Alam kong hindi ito."

Rosanna said she met her lesbian lover 27 years later. They are now set to marry, although the actress did not specify when and where.

"(M)agpapakasal kami... Alam mo naman ako, Christian yung family ko. Pero wala, wala kahit isa sa kanila ang nag-judge sa akin," she said.

"Lahat ng mali ko sa buhay naitama ko... Kapag pala tinatama mo yung buhay mo, lahat ng mga bisyo mo na di mo gusto na andyan, kusang mawawala, syempre with the help of the Lord," Rosanna added.

Rosanna did not reveal the identity of her lesbian lover. 

The 43-year-old's revelation comes days after Manny Pacquiao received flak for his statement against same sex marriage.
