Lou continues to rock for Mother Earth

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - For rock icon, songwriter-artist Lou Bonnevie (photo), there is no other medium than music to promote an advocacy or raise awareness on pressing issues. For 15 years now, Lou, who is the president of Earthday Jam Foundation, has been mounting free concerts to help educate people, especially the youth on various environmental issues and influencing them on how to protect nature.

“Advocacy concerts are always great because of the sense of fun and togetherness that they generate. Music is very powerful yet not intimidating.”

It was in 2000 when Lou decided to produce and perform for environmental events via Earthborne (the very first Earthday music jam). To date, she is the Philippines’ Clean Air Campaigner and has multiple awards on being the modern-day Eco-artist.
