Jayda Avanzado tonight at Teatrino

MANILA, Philippines - Slowly but surely, Jayda Avanzado (photo), the 12-year old daughter of Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza, has been turning a lot of heads because of her powerful voice and endearing persona.

Just recently, she earned rave reviews along with her teen contemporaries in The Next Attraction concert series, and was also a surprising revelation in her dad’s #Hitback concert at the Teatrino last July 24.

The once-cuddly baby has blossomed into an elegant young girl. Some even point out her striking resemblance to pop superstar Ariana Grande.

Not many people know it, but Jayda actually had her first major concert when she was just nine years old.

As Dingdong recounts, “For her ninth birthday, she insisted on staging her own concert. So we mounted a show for her in the old Metro bar, with a full band backing her up. She even made up her own repertoire! And it was a blast! Imagine, as early as then, she already knew what she wanted.”

Catch Jayda as she takes centerstage once more at the repeat of Dingdong’s #Hitback concert series tonight at the Teatrino, Promenade, Greenhills.

The OPM-inspired show features Dingdong’s back-up band, The Doorbells, as well as Jessa and special guest Randy Santiago.
