MANILA, Philippines — Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez were supposed to capture a happy moment, only they received some bad news.
On Thursday, Mariel consulted her doctor to check the triplets’ heartbeats. But when the doctor started the ultrasound, one of the triplets “became smaller” while one "is on the top of the other.”
What alarmed the couple was when the doctor said, “There’s no heartbeat.”
The same night, Robin’s manager Betchay Vidanes released a statement which confirmed the Kapatid host’s miscarriage at 6:30 in the evening.

They’re now asking for “prayers and utmost consideration for the couple's privacy and comfort.”
