MANILA, Philippines - Classic love songs are always the best ones. In February, love takes another classic twist in Only You: An Evening of Romantic Hits, a Valentine concert featuring Matt Monro Jr. and The Fabulous Sounds of The Platters, with Christian Bautista.
Listen to them take on a mix of time-honored and contemporary love songs in the show, which will kick off at the PICC Plenary Hall on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. and Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila on Feb. 16 at 8 p.m.
Get ready to be enthralled all over again by such songs as The Platters’ Only You, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, The Great Pretender, Harbor Lights, Twilight Time, Enchanted and My Prayer. Relive the hits of Matt Monro as the son pays tribute to the songs popularized by his dad such as Portrait of My Love, Walk Away, Softly As I Leave You, Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, Born Free, If I Never Sing Another Song and From Russia With Love.
Christian will, on the other hand, perform his hit songs like Colour Everywhere, Hands To Heaven, The Way You Look at Me. This will make the show a Valentine musical feast for all ages.
