GMA Regional TV wraps up a stellar 2014

MANILA, Philippines - It has been a very productive year for GMA Regional TV (GMA RTV), with many projects completed and all topped off with successful trade events in Dagupan (Dec. 12) and Cebu (Dec. 17) plus a jam-packed Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles promo tour in Lapu-Lapu City (Dec. 15).

As a token of gratitude to its trusted sponsors and advertisers, GMA RTV held its annual Awards and Partners Night at Jech’s Pavilion and Radisson Blu Hotel, respectively, following the theme Jazz Age: Swinging After Six, which featured entertaining performances brought by some of the network’s brightest stars.

In Dagupan, laudable song numbers from Aicelle Santos and Maricris Garcia welcomed guests followed by several dance numbers in between by Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Mark Herras and Winwyn Marquez. Betong Sumaya served as the night’s host in his Bubble Gang character Antonietta, together with Rhian Ramos.

Attendees in Cebu, on the other hand, witnessed the thrilling performances of Mark, Winwyn, Aicelle, Frencheska Farr, Ruru Madrid and Gabbie Garcia with Sef Cadayona and Benjamin Alves as event hosts.

The network officers present in the local trade events were GMA RTV first VP Rikki Escudero; AVP and head of Regional Strategy and Business Development Division of GMA RTV Oliver Amoroso; with GMA North and Central Luzon station manager Jojo Balingit for Dagupan; and GMA Central and Eastern Visayas station manager Ann Marie Tan for Cebu.

Amoroso extended his gratitude to their valuable partners and said, “Our FVP Rikki Escudero and our teams dedicated the last two months of 2014 to personally thank our valued regional partners and loyal advertisers across the country. Regional TV has focused on further strengthening our existing local programs, as well as developing new on-air and on-ground products and rest assured that we will remain steadfast in helping drive more customers to your business as we strive to continually improve and innovate to meet your changing needs.’’

Meanwhile, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes and his leading lady Isabelle Daza brought fun and excitement to Cebuanos as they promoted their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) official entry Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. Kubot bagged the Third Best Picture award in the just-concluded MMFF awards night.

Cebuano fans partied with the Kubot lead stars at the Gaisano Island Mall Mactan. Serving as event host was GMA Central and Eastern Visayas’ Yuri Deldig.
