MANILA, Philippines - If some celebrity couples have started their journey to forever this year, others have just found love in 2014.

Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, for the first time, went public with her relationship with Matteo Guidicelli, while Coleen Garcia  finally said “yes” to Billy Crawford after months of courtship.

Here’s a rundown of 2014’s most talked about new celebrity couples:

1. Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli  

Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli’s relationship could be considered as the most talked about new relationship this year. The public has been following Sarah’s love life after her failed romances with Rayver Cruz and Gerald Anderson.

Yet the Popstar Princess could say that she has finally “found someone” with Matteo, who has taught her to live life to the fullest.

This is a good thing for the Kapamilya actor who hopes to show Sarah how to enjoy her life more. Matteo's most memorable quote on Sarah: “I don't want to lose this one.”

2. Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano  

Love is sweeter the second time around. This is the case for Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin, who got back together this year.

A lot of people were shocked after Angel admitted that she still loves Luis and hopes to get back with him if everything works out for them again.

Many were also intrigued  since the statement happened a few months after their breakups. Angel with Phil Younghusband and Luis with Jennylyn Mercado.

It turns out Luis feels the same way and was open to rekindling their romance. Weeks later, he proudly announced that he's a proud boyfriend of Angel.

3. Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia 

Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia's relationship is one of the most talked about relationships this year. Why? Coleen had been rumored as the reason behind the breakup of Billy and Nikki Gil last year.

Coleen had clarified that her closeness with Billy developed after his breakup with Nikki. 

After months of courtship, Billy revealed through the noontime show "It's Showtime," that he and Coleen are already a couple.

4. Jake Cuenca and Chanel Olive Tomas 

Jake Cuenca announced through social networking site Instagram his relationship with Fil-Aussie model Chanel Olive Tomas by posting sweet photos of them together.

There were mixed reactions in Jake’s post since in the last quarter of 2013 he was being linked to his “Maria Mercedes” leading lady Jessy Mendiola.

Still, the Kapamilya actor ignored the negative comments and even said that his relationship with Chanel is “for keeps.” 

He later admitted his relationship with Chanel went through a rough path when he stayed in New York for a month for an acting workshop. Upon his return, Jake said he’s working things out with the model and they’ve been spotted together in a couple of showbiz events.

5. Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo

From friends to lovers. This happened with Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo, who started as best friends before they became a couple.

Knowing each other well and being comfortable with each other's company were big factors in their relationship.

Although not everyone is happy for them, Paul Jake says that "if other people say na they don't want me for Kaye, anong magawa nila? Just don't mind us."
