MANILA, Philippines - Paolo Bediones' hiatus from news is over as he returns to news anchoring in TV5's morning news show, Good Morning Club, on Monday.

"Mayro'n akong schedule on November 3, morning show, sa Good Morning Club. Then I'll be sent on national events," Bediones announced in an interview on Wednesday.

He, however, did not mention if he will be returning to TV5's primetime news program, Aksyon Tonite.

Bediones went on a long break from TV5's news programs after a sex video showing him and a girl went viral.

Meanwhile, Bediones said that his long break came out positive because he is now putting up his own restaurant, Punta, located at the Liberty Center along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

"I've always wanted to put up a restaurant since I started in showbiz. But I never had the right partners, the right people," he said. "This [resturant] started as a joke. May pinupuntahan ako lagi na restaurant, nakausap ko 'yong chef and nagbibiruan kami na magtatayo kami ng sarili naming restaurant.

"Then kinalimutan namin, and after three weeks bumalik siya tinanong ako, 'seryoso ka ba?' Sabi ko, 'oo,' so they presented a concept, I liked it."

He also partnered with the owner of Liberty center to improve the ambiance of the place, since he wanted to "attract a different kind of crowd."

"So dahil galing tayo sa showbiz, I put it up na ako mismo pupunta ako. Isang lugar na gusto ko na mag-press conference, mag-album launching, mag-party, private functions."
