MANILA, Philippines - Vin Abrenica said his brother Aljur is now “very happy” after going through a slight depression due to a legal battle with his home network GMA.

Vin confessed that his family knew about Aljur's plan to file a complaint, but what they didn't know was that the Kapuso star has a deeper conflict with the network, which he refused to disclose.

During the trying time in his brother's life, Vin was able to pay back all the support that his brother gave him.

“I'm more of a listener kasi bata ako,” he said. “Sa family usually ako nanghihingi ng advice. This time parang siya nasa hot seat. So that time, I had the chance na pakinggan lahat ng sinasabi niya sa akin.”

Vin said he's aware that a lot of people questioned his brother's loyalty to his home network after he decided to take legal action.

“Sana they don't judge too early kasi hindi naman nila alam 'yong buong story,” the younger Abrenica said.

Vin said that his big brother has been doing a lot of activities that distract him from the controversy. He said Aljur is underoing a Mix Martial Arts training and recently won a celebrity shooting competition.

He said Aljur is also busy with managing their family's business in Batangas and the actor is also pursuing his studies.

“Ever since bago siya mag-artista gusto niya talaga na maging pilot,” he relates. “Mas nagkakaro'n siya ng free time niya, mas naaasikaso niya 'yong mga gusto niya talagang gawin sa buhay niya. Tapos nakuwento niya na finally magagawa na niya 'yong course niya sa pagpipiloto.”

Meanwhile, Vin will be sttarring with his girlfriend Sophie Albert in TV5's upcoming episode of “Wattpad Presents: Fake Fiance.”

“I believe in my heart na malakas na lalabas itong Fake Fiance. Talagang binigay namin 'yong best namin, lalo na kasama ko 'yong mahal ko, tapos maganda pa 'yong magiging role namin dito,” he said.

“Wattpad Presents: Fake Fiance” will start airing 9:30 p.m. on November 3 in TV5.
