Be Careful says I Heart You 2

Thousands of young and young-at-heart Be Careful With My Heart fanatics filled up Araneta Coliseum last July 25 to join the second-anniversary celebration of the show aptly dubbed as I Heart You 2: The Be Careful With My Heart Anniversary Thanksgiving.

“It’s like a grand family reunion with our viewers who have supported the show from the beginning and continue to follow the love story of Maya and Ser Chief,” said Jodi Sta. Maria, who is now more popularly known as Maya.

The other well-loved characters of the show were present at the Big Dome, such as Kute (Aiza Seguerra); the Lim kids, namely, Luke, Nikki, Abby and Baby Kambal (Jerome Ponce, Janella Salvador, Mutya Orquia, Sky and Sunshine), Nanay Teresita (Sylvia Sanchez) and the Lim househelpers, namely, Manang Fe, Doris, Sabel and Lea (Gloria Sevilla, Tart Carlos, Vivieka Ravanes and Joanne Bugcat), among others.

The show started with Jodi and Richard thanking the loyal veiwers for the success Be Careful With My Heart. The two then jazzed up for a song-and-dance performance of Nat King Cole’s L.O.V.E. and Donna Cruz’s Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso.

The well-loved tandem further treated fans with a romantic duet of Lea Salonga’s Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal. Richard also joined the crowd, gave out roses and serenaded the ladies with his rendition of Fred Astaire’s The Way You Look Tonight.

The anniversary thanksgiving also showcased the solo performances of Jodi and Richard.

Jodi wowed everyone with her back-to-back song-and-dance numbers. She did Rihanna’s Only Girl In The World and Yeng Constantino’s Chinito

Richard sent the ladies swooning with his performance of Blondie’s One Way or Another, where he gamely danced with G-Force.

Aiza, meanwhile, gave a heartfelt rendition of Joey Albert’s Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin and jammed with Jodi in Indigo Girls’ Power of Two and with Richard in Neocolours’ Tuloy Pa Rin.

The younger members of the cast turned up the energy at the Big Dome with their One Direction medley. Luke, Nikki, Nikolo (Marlo Mortel) and the rest of the teen cast performed One Thing and Live While We’re Young.

Ser Chief’s “angels” Manang Fe, Doris, Sabel and Lea took the spotlight with their ’70s disco production number, where they sang I’m Coming Out, Domino, Finally and Sexy and I Know It.
