Maja: Concert first before marriage

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Settling down with Gerald Anderson is still far from Maja Salvador's mind as she wants to accomplish more before making plans of tying the knot.

“Hindi pa po ako nakapag-concert sa Araneta, tsaka hindi pa po ako nakapag-mall tour,” Maja joked when asked if she and Gerald already have plans of taking their relationship a notch higher.

“Ang dami ko pa pong plans. Parang kahit 10 years na ako sa industriya ito pa lang ako, nagsisimula pa lang ako na mas marami pa po akong gusting mapakita at magawa," she added.

Maja also could not say which status her relationship with Gerald is at currently. She said that what's important is that they are both happy with their relationship.

“Di ko po kasi masasabi, e. Sa ngayon kung nasaan kami, masaya kami. Pero ‘yon, believe na lang tayo. Kung darating ‘yon, darating.”

In an earlier interview by the entertainment media with Gerald, the actor said that he could be ready to settle down with Maja five years from now.

The actor made the statement when asked on what age does he plans to settle down and have kids. Gerald and Maja are both 25 years old.

Meanwhile, Maja assured that her relationship Gerald's mother is also fine amid rumors that Mommy Vangie is not in favor of Maja.

“Alam mo, sobrang okay kami ni Tita Vangie,” Maja said. “Grabe lang din ang respeto ko sa kanya kaya ayoko rin magsalita nang magsalita.”

Maja recently launched her music album "Believe."

She said that Gerald is very supportive of her decision to venture into music.

“Supportive naman ‘yon,” she said with a smile, referring to Gerald. “Hinahayaan niyang maging ako, ako.”

She said the Kapamilya actor even bought her album last Sunday. “Bumili siya ng album ko. Tapos pinicturan (picture) niya then pinadala sa akin.”
