Anne says there are ‘lessons learned’ from 2013; thanks fans for unwavering support

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Anne Curtis feels “overwhelmed” now that 2013 is over and 2014  has started.

In the last quarter of 2013, Anne has been involved in a slapping incident at an exclusive bar in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. It was reported that she slapped John Lloyd Cruz and two others.

“Siguro sa lahat ng taong naniwala na kaya kong i-portray si Dyesebel, maraming-maraming salamat for giving that kind of faith in me,” she said in an interview Thursday afternoon, January 9. “Hindi [nila] nakalimutan  dahil lang sa isang hindi magandang bagay [na nangyari].”

The Kapamilya actress turned emotional then added, “First time ko kasi humarap sa ganitong karaming press after everything. So maraming-matraming salamat for having that kind of faith in me.

“And sa mga hindi naman naniniwala, God bless na lang.I mean, everyone always has something to say, you can’t please everybody and I’m just happy that this year I’m having another dream come true.”

Anne admits that there were “lessons learned” from 2013, though she chooses to keep those lessons to herself.

She’s just thankful that 2014 started well for her.

“Sobra akong nagpapasalamat kasi there are people who didn’t lose their faith in me,” she said. “And that faith in me has brought me to become Dyesebel this year, so maraming salamat.”

“Sana ‘yon ang natatandaan [na may nagawa akong maganda], na may mga pagkakamali naman talaga ang isang tao, pero hindi naman laging ganun.”

Giving up Showtime?

Meanwhile, since “Dyesebel” is one of ABS-CBN and Dreamscape’s biggest projects, it might demand more time from Anne’s already hectic schedule.

At the moment, the Kapamilya actress-host is busy with “It’s Showtime” and  a reunion film with Sam Milby dubbed “The Gifted.”

However she added that she would like to find a way to stay on "It's Showtime".

“If kayang pagsabayin kakayanin. 'Pag gusto mo naman ang isang bagay and you love what you do, kakayanin mo naman ‘yon, e.”

“Dyesebel” is tentatively scheduled to air summer this year as its target audience is the youth.

The series might air the same time with GMA’s upcoming tele-serye with Loiuse delos Reyes, “Kambal Sirena,” whose story also revolves around a mermaid.

Asked if she’s bothered by this, Anne said, “It’s okay. I mean, lahat naman may right na gumawa ng kahit ano, na may gumawa naman ng Dyosa noon, dati may Marina naman, kanya-kanyang kuwento naman ‘yan. But the all-time classic is Dyesebel.”
