MANILA, Philippines - FLASH: Boots Anson-Roa, a widow for six years, has found a new love in the person of lawyer Francisco ‘King’ Rodrigo Jr., eldest son of the late Sen. ‘Soc’ Rodrigo. Boots’ husband, Pete Roa, died of cancer.
‘God has given me a soulmate and future partner who I shall spend the rest of my life with,’ said Boots in a text message to The STAR. ‘I have just been engaged, to be married on June 14, 2014.’
Together with Marichu ‘Manay Ichu’ Maceda, her future ninang, Boots said she will ‘share my joy’ with close friends at an intimate lunch today where she will announce the details.
