PBO turns 10 with ‘Anne-niversary’ specials

MANILA, Philippines - Pinoy Box Office (PBO) turns 10 this month. Since its launch in 2003, it has remained consistent in AC Nielsen’s Top 5 cable channel rankings nationwide. In 2012, PBO remarkably took the No. 3 spot in Kantar Media’s Top 20 Cable Channels, surpassing the acclaimed HBO, Cartoon Network, Disney, AXN and more. In celebration of being the longtime Paborito ng Bayan, PBO will feature the movies and debut concert of Anne Curtis. Catch PBO First Class, Fridays at 9:30 p.m., starting with When Love Begins, where Anne is torn between family business and personal happiness on Aug. 2, also starring Aga Muhlach. On Aug. 9, it’s her blockbuster love-triangle movie with  Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes, No Other Woman.  Feel the undeniable spark between Anne and ex-beau Sam Milby in Babe I Love You on Aug. 16. Witness her MMFF Best Actress performance in the wartime drama Baler,  opposite Jericho Rosales on Aug. 23.  Laugh at her outrageous antics against Ai-Ai de las Alas in  Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo on Aug. 30. 

The extravaganza continues on weekends with the grand PBO premiere of A Secret Affair on Aug. 31 at 9:30 p.m. Anne stands her ground while Andi Eigenmann seduces Derek. In drama, horror, comedy and concert, Anne can deliver on PBO Presents, Sundays at 9:30 p.m. The Anne-bisyosa makes her musical dream come true in No Other Concert on Aug. 12, with guests Sarah Geronimo, Vice Ganda, Sam and Rico Blanco. She finds herself in the middle of horrifying hospital scenes in ’Wag Kang Lilingon on Aug. 19, also starring Marvin Agustin and Kristine Hermosa. In Who’s That Girl on Aug. 26, Anne creates conflict between Eugene Domingo and Luis Manzano, who play mother and son.

Expect nonstop laughter in PBO Marathon every Sunday at 1:30 p.m., featuring the movies of funny guys Dennis Padilla on Aug. 11, Janno Gibbs on Aug. 18 and Herbert Bautista on Aug. 25.
