Phl bet to Mr. Gay World 2013

MANILA, Philippines - Erimar Sayo Ortigas, a communication manager for a business process-outsourcing office, will represent the country in the fifth Mr. Gay World finals in Antwerp, Belgium, on Aug. 4.

Ortigas, 29, is a Business Administration graduate from Lyceum of the Philippines. The contest aims to foster friendship and equal rights among members of the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) community.

Ortigas is a spokesperson for HIV/AIDS awareness and has actually been helping several patients in their regular check-ups and medications. He is also active in the Love Yourself campaign, his chosen charity for the People’s Choice online competition of the Mr. Gay World 2013.

A total of 30 delegates from around the world are competing at the Antwerp grand finals. Norway hosted the second world finals in 2010 while Manila hosted the pageant in 2011.
