Are the 2 ‘angels’ feuding?

The movie One More Try was one of the biggest winners in the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival. The movie grabbed reviews from a number of film critics and cineastes and won several awards including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Child Star and FPJ Memorial Awards for Excellence. Many cried buckets of tears while watching the movie about a mother who tries everything to save her sick child.

One of the most unforgettable scenes in the movie is the violent confrontation scene of Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban. What can you expect from a wife (Angelica) who confronts her husband’s ex (Angel) who comes back to his life to save the life of their child by asking him to spend a night with her?

This scene is now the center of controversy because the two lead actresses are allegedly not in good terms with each other. In an interview, Angelica explained that it’s difficult to cheat the confrontation scene because the viewers will notice.

The scene earned diverse reactions from the viewers. Some thought that the actors went overboard while others said they were simply doing their jobs. Their respective fans also came to their defense.

Angelica said, “Kung may mapipikon o magagalit siguro napaka-unprofessional naman para maramdaman ng isang artista iyon na personalin ang eksena.”

Did they become close after doing the movie? “Sa mga susunod siguro (ay) may mas mabubuo pero sa ganitong ka-heavy na pelikula medyo mabigat para magkaroon ng mga bonding moments,” Angelica said. She also stood her ground that there is no rift between her and Angel.

Patrick dad for the second time

Patrick Garcia is back on the small screen via ABS-CBN’s upcoming teleserye Apoy sa Dagat which also stars Piolo Pascual, Angelica and Diether Ocampo. In the series, Patrick portrays a man torn between the love of Empress Schuck and Nikki Gil.

Patrick is very happy these days because aside from his new series, he will be a father for the second time. “Yes it’s true. My girlfriend is now pregnant and we’re happily expecting a baby girl next month. It was never a secret. I just don’t talk about it because I like my private life to be private,” he explained during the Apoy Sa Dagat’s presscon at the Dolphy Theater.

Although he is expecting another child, Patrick insisted that he will still support Alex Jazz, his son with Jennylyn Mercado. Patrick shared that he visited his son last Christmas with the help of Jen’s adoptive mother Lydia. He texted her and she gave him permission to see his son. “She spoke to me na hindi alam ni Jen, pero Tita Lydia is honest naman, so afterwards sinabi rin niya kay Jen na nagpunta ako dun, which was the right thing to do.”

Lydia also advised Patrick to fix their differences for the sake of Alex Jazz. “I’m just waiting for the right timing na I have to approach Jen and tell her that we should talk and settle this pero the timing is very crucial for me. Parang gusto ko everything is okay. Kung wala na siyang masyadong galit or whatever. I think Jen has grown up to know that I’m still the father of Jazz and one day, her heart will soften and allow me to see my son again.”
