Comedienne turns entrepreneur

MANILA, Philippines - Sexy comedienne RR Enriquez has come a long way in showbiz. After starting out as a back-up dancer in the defunct noontime show, Wowowee, RR is now a businesswoman, having opened Rejuva, a nail spa and skincare center located along Timog Ave. in Quezon City.

RR said that her dream of owning this kind of business started when she realized she was spending a lot on beauty spas and pampering sessions. “One day, I was having myself pampered — spending P200,000 — in one skincare clinic alone. I thought, why am I spending that much amount on others, when I can use it to put up my own business?” said RR.

So with the help of her boyfriend, Barangay Ginebra Kings pointguard Jayjay Helterbrand, they were able to lease a three-story establishment and launched the first-ever branch of Rejuva. “He didn’t think twice. He just gave me the money and Jayjay said ikaw na ang bahala. Then I looked for a business name that would fit us as business partners.”

Rejuva takes after the word “rejuvenation,” which is what their services also offer, and makes use of the first letters of their names.

Rejuva offers a variety of pampering services — nail spa, scrub for the hands and feet, manicure, pedicure, gel polish, acrylic hands and feet, nail art, waxing, eyebrow threading, eyelash extensions, back massage, paraffin treatments and nail spa for the kids.

For skincare, Rejuva offers non-invasive services like laser hair removal, body peeling, derma roller stem cell, IV gluta, painless warts removal, pimple injections, mesotherapy, botox, facial spa, diamond peel, majic PT, radio frequency treatments (RF), muscle toning, cry body treatments, cavitation, gluta dextrose and slimline.

RR said that in the three months that Rejuva is in operation, they have already gotten a lot of satisfied customers and loyal patrons.
