AHA! tackles the Mayan calendar

MANILA, Philippines - On Dec. 21, the 394-day cycle of the Mayan calendar comes to an end. There are those who believe that on this date is the formidable end of days according to the Mayan prediction.

Even if there are non-believers of this prediction, is it truly possible that the world will end before Christmas? Is there any scientific basis on this? Some people hold on to the Biblical accounts on Armageddon while others choose to believe in French forecaster Nostradamus who predicted the end of days.

For those who believe, signs that the world are about to end can no longer be ignored — earthquakes, catastrophic rains, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, sinkholes, solar flares and other dreadful events. What are the other environmental signs that are believed to signal the death of the Earth?

Know the scientific side of the story and what experts have to say about this. Tune in to AHA! with Drew Arellano in an earlier time slot Sundays at 8:15 a.m.  on GMA 7.
