The Lying Game premieres on etc

Manila, Philippines -  Meet identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer, who are separated at birth and have led very different lives, unaware that the other existed.

Emma has spent years in the foster system, going from one home to the next, never experiencing what a real family is like, while Sutton has lived a life of privilege having been adopted at an early age by a wealthy couple.

When the two find one another and plan to find their birth parents, they set in motion a web of secrecy and lies on etc’s newest drama The Lying Game premiering tonight at 9.

Corresponding with one another over the Internet, Sutton keeps her discovery of twin sister Emma a secret from her adoptive parents deciding that until she can find out even more information about their past. However, after Emma gets into an altercation with her foster family that forces her to flee, the only person she can think of running to is Sutton.

Upon arriving in Phoenix, Arizona, Sutton persuades Emma to take over her life for a few days while she leaves town to follow a lead that will reveal the identity of their birth mother. Although identical in looks, the two girls are worlds apart in character: Emma is polite, gracious and happy to belong to a family, while Sutton lies, ignores and takes them for granted.

Sutton’s family and friends seem oblivious to the swap, but on the night they are set to switch back, Sutton fails to show up.

Can Emma continue to play the part of the “It” girl? How long will it take Sutton to return with the answers she is yearning for? And how long can the two sisters keep up The Lying Game?
