More projects for Lovi after Legacy

The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines -  After a successful six-month run on primetime television, GMA 7’s Legacy starring Lovi Poe comes to an end on June 1. Ever since it premiered, the show was consistent with its good ratings.

“I will surely miss playing Natasha Alcantara, the character whom I have learned to love so much,” says Lovi. “I’m grateful to the writers, creative staff and directors, for allowing me to put life into Natasha, this is so far my most memorable role on TV.”

But even if Legacy will end, Lovi still remains busy. She will soon start work on two movies for Regal Films. First of which is Guni-Guni which marks the mainstream directorial debut of Tara Illenberger. In the horror-mystery-drama, Lovi will have a new leading man in the person of Benjamin Alves.

Also in Guni-Guni are Empress Schuck, Gina Alajar, James Blanco, Ria Garcia, Julia Clarete and Gerald Pesigan, who was part of The Mommy Returns. Lovi is excited with her new role as Mylene in Guni-Guni. This is her return to the horror genre after the successful Aswang directed by Jerrold Tarog.

Next in line is the drama The Bride And The Lover, which will pit her talent against Jennylyn Mercado. The most-awaited horror film of the year, Erik Matti’s Tiktik, Aswang Chronicles, will pair Lovi with Dingdong Dantes.

Meanwhile, Lovi will be in Hong Kong on June 9 for the Fun Freedom and Friendship Ball at the Hong Kong Shangrila Kowloon and June 10 for Tayo Na, Magsaya at Magkaisa Fiesta at the Hong Kong Chatter Garden.
