Gaz Holgate makes TV 'debut' in Party Pilipinas

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino Rugby player Gaz Holgate makes his first television appearance in tomorrow’s edition of GMA 7’s Party Pilipinas. It will be followed by a live interview in Showbiz Central after which he proceeds to a meet and greet at SM Masinag’s Atrium Activity Center at 6 p.m. with the Street Children of Childhope Asia, wherein Childhope Asia ambassador Ogie Alcasid will join him.

Gaz is half-Filipino and half-Welsh. His mother is Lourdes de la Rosa from Pampanga. He grew up in Wales and all over Europe, including some years in the Philippines. He is a member of Volcanoes, but is also under contract with a Japanese Rugby team Kyuden Voltex. His team is on a vacation break now and his childhood friend Solenn Heussaff invited him to go to Manila. Solenn then introduced Gaz to her manager, Leo Dominguez, and Gaz decided to try the few offers that came his way while on vacation.

A few days ago, Gaz visited a school in Buayang Bato in Mandaluyong. He gave away books and school supplies donated by the National Bookstore Foundation, and he taught rugby to the grade school students of the school.

Gaz hopes to spend more time in Manila, where he enjoys very much, but only during breaks from his first love  Rugby!
