History & Bio remember 9/11

MANILA, Philippines - History and Bio join the rest of the world to commemorate the 10th year of 9/11 terrorist attacks with poignant documentaries. Over 17 hours of programming relating to the event will air on both channels starting today until Sept. 12.

“September 11 was one of the most tragic moments mankind has ever experienced and witnessed. Ten years on, and still the memories are clear in our minds. The special programming line-up on History and Bio is a part of our mission to never forget, and to honor those who perished and those who lived. As the archivist and arbiter of all things history, we will continue our coverage of the critical moments in history, thereby preserving its important legacy,” said Louis Boswell, GM of AETN All Asia Networks.

To kick off the worldwide commemoration, History will simulcast the 102 Minutes That Changed America across all A+E Networks on History.com and globally in more than 150 countries (reaching 250 million households) on Sept. 11 at 8:46 p.m.

Bio will premiere Beyond: Messages from 9/11 on Sept. 12, 10 p.m. The special delivers heartfelt stories of comfort and hope for anyone that has ever lost a loved one. Families of 9/11 victims will share their stories of the messages they received from beyond, and the love and hope that lives on knowing that life doesn’t end at death — but is instead transformed.
