MANILA, Philippines - Baler sa Puso Ko, with libretto by STAR columnist Isagani Cruz (right) and music by Lutgardo Labad Jr., won the Aliw Award for Best Musical Production during the ceremonies held in Manila Hotel on Oct. 18. The musical was directed by Frank Rivera and produced by Sen. Edgardo Angara, Baler 400, NCCA and ITI Philippines in Baler, Aurora, in August 2009.
