Halloween treat from Midnight DJ

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Oyo Boy Sotto (photo) has a reason to wear a wide smile these days. His suspense/horror/comedy show Midnight DJ on TV5 is on its fifth season.

As Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie’s son, Oyo admits, “People have high expectation of my thespic capability. And when I came into the second season of the show after Paolo Contis, I had to prove that I can equal if not surpass Pao’s performance as a radio disc jockey; a tall order if I may say so.”

Oyo made it with flying colors. MDJ’s high ratings on primetime program surveys proves this.

For its Halloween episode titled Trahe de Boda,  Michelle Madrigal and Jon Avila appear as a soon-to-be-wed couple. Several nights before their wedding, Kat (Michelle) meets the mysterious, scary ghost Bloody Bride who warns her something tragic will happen to Bullet (John) the moment she wears her bridal gown. Will the wedding push through? Watch MDJ tomorrow after Talentadong Pinoy to find out.

With Oyo Boy as Samboy the regular cast is comprised of Jenny Miller (the radio station manager), Meg Imperial (the sexy secretary) and Joaqui Tupas (the comic Bodjie). MDJ is directed by Lore Reyes.
