DAP offers cinematography workshop
MANILA, Philippines – Budding directors of photography will work with real 35mm equipment and film in Cinematography Magic of Light for Movies, a course offered at the Tagaytay Film, Broadcast and Media Art Workshops on May 17 to 22 at Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). Handling the course is cinematographer Nap Jamir, whose innovations in imparting knowledge on using non-movie lights has benefited indie filmmakers.
The class is one of the courses in the workshops aimed at students and media arts professionals.
Other courses are Scriptwriting Writing for Movies that Sell by Roy Iglesias; Basic Photography is Beyond Digital/Joey Tanedo; Advance Photography Capturing Portraits and Glamor/Vic Sison and Ador Pamintuan; Tweaking Your Photos Fantastic Digital Darkroom/Joy Ilagan; and Basic Animation and Character Design/Gibet Torres.
They are one-week, hands-on, live-in intensive workshops.
Other courses are Innovative Corporate Presentation with Doi Rosete; Newspaper Design/Barry Jose; Events as Tool for Promotions/Sue Jose; and Corporate Communication and Crisis PR/Ray Junia and Ms. Robles.
The workshops are run by the Creative Media Professionals Guild of Asia and the Pacific (CMPGAP) in collaboration with DAP. Sponsors are Unilever Philippines, San Miguel Brewery, Coca-Cola, and Mango Comics.
