Kuya Eddie's Kahapon Lamang back on radio

Here’s good news for fans (this one included) of Kuya Eddie Ilarde (photo):

His long-running music-talk radio show, Kahapon Lamang, will be back starting on May 10, a Sunday, this time on dzBB (594 kHz on the AM band).

Produced by the former Senator himself (and a Lifetime Achievement Awardee for Radio and Television), Kahapon Lamang is perhaps the longest-running radio program. It first aired in 1955 and continues to feature Kuya Eddie’s light commentaries and old favorites. That’s why it’s now called Kahapon Lamang, 2nd 50 Years.

“Our motto has always been ‘To entertain, educate, inform, inspire and enlighten’,” said Kuya Eddie. “We are proud of the fact that all kinds of people listen to us — writers, ordinary workers, housewives, executives, drivers, students, farmers, fishermen, even politicians. Anybody who loves good music are with us everytime we go on the air.”

As Kuya Eddie would say, “If music is the language of love, play on!”

Okay, Kuya Eddie, play on!

Mabalos!
