Tiendesitas attracts showbiz folk
Tiendesitas, Asia’s first and largest flea market and theme park, is also a favorite shopping mall of showbiz personalities and big names in the government, sports, business and other sectors. Located in an 18.8 hectare mixed-use commercial project bounded by Ortigas, Julia Vargas and E. Rodriguez Ave. (C-5 Road), Tiendesitas is part of Frontera Verde. Frontera Verde, which means green edge in Spanish, is an improved version of the Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok, Thailand.
Tiendesitas is made up of 12 Maranao-inspired single storey buildings, with small-to-medium sized stalls and a central plaza for weekend bazaars and activities. You can walk around it like you do in wide-open villages. Every village is within walking distance from each other.
The fourth Midnight Flea Market is ongoing until Jan. 3. The 24-day exhibit is for shoppers and bargain hunters looking for quality gifts for relatives and friends.
Henry Babiera, president-CEO of Las Islas Trade & Consumer Show Organizer Corp. invites shoppers with their families and friends to visit the tiangge and enjoy the shopping mall.
He says they can find quality products and goods at low prices .
Shoppers and buyers like housewives and professionals as well as office workers have much time to visit the trade fair because the flea market is from 12 noon until 12 midnight.
