Jon is loveless, but John is not

Jon Avila has no girlfriend. He had his last one a week before he entered the Pinoy Big Brother house. But Jon is boyfriend material. Having spent a large part of his life in England, he was trained to do household chores. In Manila, he takes care of his laundry, knows how to iron his clothes, cooks, cleans his pad, goes to church and he’s straight.

Mariel Rodriguez was close to being his girlfriend but Zanjoe Marudo beat him to the draw. Both Mariel and Zanjoe are his good friends now. For someone who is so gorgeous, so qualified — you wouldn’t think he has no girlfriend.

Vic Basa, after Valeen Montenegro, also has no girlfriend. He’s looking healthier, more agile compared to sometime ago when he looked lackadaisical. And Vic is not also in a hurry. He is a serious, sensitive young man. When he speaks, you know you’re listening to his heart.

Everytime Alessandra de Rossi comes to Boy & Kris she’s always a blast. Honest, beautiful and confident, she dishes out pop wisdom about young love and life. Describing John Prats and Shaina Magdayao, she quipped, “Gluta-love” referring to John and Shaina’s flawless white complexion. Alessandra is spending Christmas with Mom and Dad in Italy courtesy of her sister Assunta and husband Jules Ledesma. It should be a merry Christmas for Alessandra who is returning to Italy after almost 10 years.

Danica Sotto and Alessandra are best friends. Danica looks really pretty. She enthused that husband Mark Pingris is a hands-on father. She worries that he might turn into a spoiler as he’s anxious about everything concerning the baby. But you can see it in Danica’s eyes that she’s happy. And we’re happy for her.

Raffy Rosell looks extremely gorgeous with or without clothes. And he commands respect because he makes a lot of sense. He’s honest, forthright and fun. My Christmas wish is for him to be a major leading man in 2009. He has “it.”

It’s a sin not to love John. He is cute, sexy and honest. He and Shaina are both lucky to be together. My gut feeling tells me theirs is a relationship that can lead to marriage. John said he has a YM and he has only one friend — and that’s Shaina. Isn’t that cute?

Drs. Willie and Liza Ong are such a nice, lovely couple. The tips they share with our Boy & Kris viewers are invaluable — from the proper way to wash hands, to not expose food on the table for more than four hours otherwise it will spoil, to not re-heat food many times as it will expose food to bacteria, to eat properly (fruits and veggies), eat in moderation and drink a lot of water.

We only have one body, let’s take good care of it!

Rufa Mae Quinto is playing it cool when asked about her dropping by Sam Milby’s house. Talks have it that they even played Playstation while inside Sam’s house. The incident has become an issue in showbiz. “Sam is my friend. Hindi ho ako nag-Playstation. I am busy with my work. I even texted Anne (Curtis) and told her everything in detail.”

Sunshine Cruz revealed during the Petit Monde launch that husband Cesar Montano would love to have a baby boy. “He wants to have one. I jokingly told him, I already gave you three chances to have a baby boy but you cannot,” laughs Sunshine.

Sunshine is keeping her mouth shut on the libel case she filed against sister-in-law Ched Cantu. “I don’t want to comment about her or the case kasi si Cesar ang naiipit.”
