Promising bands in Tunog Kalye album launch

-

The search is over for the most promising bands to hit the music scene. After months of searching for the most promising Pinoy bands, Dyna Music and Max FM 103.5 have come up with 10 winners that promise to give music lovers a fresh, new sound.

The winners are Goodbye Tracy, Valen, Paniwala, Anwind, Black Summer, Kantula, Balaraw, Fuerrza, Slash N’ Burn and Bonzai Collection. They bested hundreds of bands and their winning entries are compiled in Dyna Music (Bagong Tunog, Bagong Banda), an all-original artist album to be launched tomorrow, Nov. 20, 7 p.m. at Eastwood Central Plaza, Eastwood City, Libis.

The bands, honed by radio guestings and live gigs, will perform live at the launch, whose party-like ambiance will stir the crowd and get them up on their feet the whole night long.

Expect Eastwood to reverberate with Goodbye Tracy’s playful guitar riffs, Valen’s upbeat vocals and various other musical treats from the young bands that will grace the event hosted by DJ Carl Mcfly of Max FM.

Meet the future stars of the music scene and find out just why they were adjudged the best of the lot. They will bring the house down with tracks from the CD, copies of which will be available at the venue for P220 each. Since the album’s regular price is P250, you get P30 discount when you buy the CD at the launch. What’s more, you get to hear 10 different bands, 10 different musical styles for the price of one CD.

Better yet, with the Christmas season approaching, you can buy more copies as gifts to make your music-loving friends and family happy this holiday season.

Tunog Kalye started in 1995 as a radio program that showcased live performances from promising Pinoy bands. The show came even before MTV Unplugged and acoustic artists became popular. A brainchild of Max FM head honcho Sgt. Pepper, it has since served as a stepping stone for talented bands and artists who want to make a name for themselves.

Tunog Kalye is available at Odyssey, Astroplus, Astrovision and selected SM stores nationwide.
