Sexy talk with Erik Santos
Erik Santos is on pins and needles, understandably so. On Friday, Oct. 19,
“I’m really nervous,” admitted Erik. “I’ve had concerts at Araneta but when they were not back-to-back, they featured two other singers. Talagang nakakakaba this time.”
What makes this concert different from the previous ones?
“For one thing, may mga moves ako dito na hindi ko usually ginagawa. And I have a few ‘surprises’ for everybody.”
Is he going, as some people are speculating, to bare some flesh?
“Secret!” said Erik.
But he barred no holds in a brief “sexy talk” that hints at what the Big Dome audience should expect. All ears now?
Define “sexy.”
“Sexiness extends beyond the physical. It’s in how a person carries him/herself, how he/she deals with people. There are people, whether male or female, who are sexy even if they are fat.”
Like who?
“Like...Never mind baka magalit sa akin. You should know who they are.”
What part of your body do you consider the sexiest?
“My eyes. They say that I have expressive eyes. Nangungusap daw ang mga mata ko.”
What do your eyes say that your mouth doesn’t or cannot?
“That I’m hot! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! But really, my eyes say much more than what my mouth ever can.”
What part of a girl’s body do you find sexy?
“The legs; the longer they are, the more sexy they are. Long, shapely legs like those of Toni Gonzaga.”
What about your ex-girlfriend Rufa Mae Quinto’s legs?
“Very sexy! Long and shapely.”
What about the other parts of her body, are they also sexy?
“Every part of her is sexy, every inch of her. I should know. I’m telling you!”
Who else are sexy to you?
“Vina Morales and Pops Fernandez.”
Who are the guys do you find as sexy as you are?
“Piolo Pascual. Brad Pitt. Nicolas Cage.”
How do you maintain your sexy body?
“I go to the gym every chance I get and I watch my diet. I avoid pork and fatty food; I eat only brown rice twice a day.”
How do you add “sexiness” to your appeal as a singer?
“It’s in your showmanship...in the way you dress and the way you move. With female singers, it helps to show a bit of flesh — you know, by wearing a gown with plunging neckline. Actually, even a tight-fitting gown that covers the whole body can be sexy depending on how the singer carries it and herself.”
What about male singers? Do some of them really pad themselves with a towel to make “that part” more pronounced?
“I don’t know about them but with me, it’s natural; no padding. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!”
What’s the sexiest song you’ve ever heard?
“A Song For You (by Michael Bublé).”
And what musical instrument sounds sexiest to you?
“Saxophone. Pang-kama ang tunog.”
When, where, how and to whom did you lose your innocence?
“I was 15. I was in high school. It happened fast. I forgot who my partner was. Was I asleep? No, I was wide-awake. I remember that it felt good, even if I was nervous.”
You are loveless like Rufa Mae said she is. Does being loveless necessarily mean “sex-less?”
“With me? Yes. I’m a one-woman man. And I’m faithful.”
Do you expect Rufa Mae to be at your concert?
“Yes. I hope she shows up. I’m dedicating a song to her.”
How do you court a girl?
“I don’t believe in courtship, kasi during the courtship period you try hard to show how good you are and not really your natural self. When you are going steady already, lumalabas na ang natural mo.”
If you were to court a girl with a song, what would it be?
“The Way You Look Tonight, especially the line, ‘Yes, you’re lovely, with your smile so warm and your cheek so soft’...”
What does it take a girl to win your heart?
“Magpakatotoo lang siya!”
