Seeing pink, seeing blue

Welcome to the world of Pink and Blue Soda. One of the trendiest clothing companies in the country, Pink and Blue Soda, is whipping up a storm to take the RTW fashion a notch higher. Thanks to its hip designs and its new roster of image models, Pink and Blue Soda is now a byword in the clothing and fashion world.

Pink Soda has found a perfect endorser in the trio of Bianca Gonzalez, Mariel Rodriguez and Kelly Misa.

Bianca is one of the most intelligent young hosts on television. She is one of the girls who perk you up daily in the morning show Magandang Umaga Pilipinas, and in Y Speak shown on Studio 23. A casual dresser who loves going around in T-shirts and flip-flops, Bianca and Pink Soda are perfectly made for each other.

"I like Pink Soda’s clothes, especially its pants because they ride well with my not-so-long legs and big hips," Bianca shares. "Their cuts are perfect for the Filipina." According to the witty host, Pink Soda’s clothes always get better. "I like the way they experiment on colors, cuts, and prints."

Its new nautical collection - purely girly, with lots of deep reds, oranges, yellows and khaki — gives a new twist to clothing that fashionistas all over would love to own and wear. "The latest collection best describes me," she declares. "With edgier, playful, and casual designs, I can be anyone I want."

TV personality and MTV VJ Mariel Rodriguez and leading clothing brand Pink Soda define a trend-setting generation that values individuality in clothing. Together, they are crafting the right look for a young crowd that doesn’t settle for anything less than perfect.

Pink Soda goes well with the many personalities that Mariel wears, which depends on her vibes on a given day. "I just love their clothes," says Mariel. "Pink Soda is versatile. It can be trendy and playful and at the same time, basic and classic. I also love the fits of their tops and their jeans. They’re just perfect."

Besides joining the Pink Soda family, Mariel is equally excited to be a kapamilya of ABS-CBN. She is now seen every Monday in the sitcom OK Fine ‘To Ang Gusto Niyo as the leading lady of Aga Muhlach and in Breakfast on Studio 23. She is also part of the Pinoy Big Brother roster of hosts. Aside from these ABS-CBN shows, Mariel is also busy as an MTV VJ.

Top commercial, print and ramp model Kelly Misa (Pond’s, KFC, San Mig Coffee and many more) is excited about the latest collection to come out of Pink’s closet "I’m a mood dresser," Kelly confesses. "It usually takes me an hour to dress up. When I feel like a fashionista, I dress up; but when I just wanna let loose, I dress down. On a normal day, I usually go for the classic, clean look. I’m also a bit conservative." The collection, which caters to any mood, has an extensive line of garbs that you can mix and match to create the look that will go with your mood.

Pink Soda is filling its racks with denims, skirts, and other clothing items that are guaranteed to catch your eye. The sea and the gypsy have been Pink’s inspiration in coming up with its nautical collection. Thus, expect a lot of knee length tailored shorts and skirts, long sleeve cut tops, drop-waist blouse dresses, cotton jerseys with fabulous colors to dominate Pink Soda’s fashion plate.

In answer to men’s clothing needs, Pink Soda has its Blue Soda endorsed by Borgy Manotoc and AJ Dee. Borgy Manotoc, who is finishing an advertising and public relations course at the Fashion Institute of Technology, majoring in marketing and fashion design, is a style chameleon. Borgy sheds off some skin in his gigantic Blue Soda billboard exposing his well-carved upper torso.

AJ Dee, who is currently part of The Buzz (WannaBuzz) and is shooting Vietnam Rose under ABS-CBN, sent the girls wild with their hearts-a-thumping when he bared for the Adam campaign of Blue Soda. "I was afraid of the snake but Jun (de Leon) is a determined photographer and he wouldn’t stop until he gets the perfect shot." He also appeared in Star Cinema’s Dreamboy.

This season, Blue Soda goes nautical as it plays with the colors and patterns of the valiant officers of the sea. It will also come up with sexier clothing, exposing more skin in its newest collection. Thus, expect Blue Soda to come up with cuts, colors and styles that will balance the forces of hot and cool.

An independent Blue Soda shop opened its second branch in SM San Lazaro. Other branches are set to be launched in SM Manila and SM City.
