Danish trio C21 coming for promo

Stuck In My Heart, the debut single of the Danish trio C21, is now stuck in every "love-struck" Pinoy who sings along when the single is aired over radio.

This is no surprise for C21, who has taken Europe by storm and is set to invade Philippine shores with a grand promo tour on March 15 at Ratsky Morato, 9:30 p.m. and March 16 in SM Megamall at 5 p.m.

Stuck In My Heart is a grand and melodious ballad that speaks of one’s admiration for a loved one. Recorded and mixed at Quang Studio and produced by Lars Quang, the song is quickly climbing radio charts nationwide and is predicted to be a love anthem. Meanwhile, their other single You Are The One just recently entered the top 5 in Star FM’s Daily Chart – proof of the increasing population of the band.

C21 is composed of three young and good-looking 18-year-old boys namely, Soren Bregendal (vocals and keyboard), David Pepke (vocals and guitar) and Esben Duus (vocal and guitar).

C21’s songs are characterized as "tunes with strong vocal harmonies that are straight forward, grand and effective." C21, the album is released by EMI Philippines and is available in CD and cassette formats.

Story of perseverance

Hers is a story of perseverance and endurance in the face of insurmountable odds. Bootylicious bombshell Ara Mina, one of showtown’s most in-demand singer-actresses, didn’t achieve her current star status overnight. She worked long and hard, climbing the ladder of success with astonishing drive and determination. Like Mulan, she blossomed amidst adversity.

Ara recalls her struggling days as a showbiz newcomer, desperately trying to make ends meet. "My first talent fee ever was a few hundred pesos," she sighs. "It wasn’t even enough to cover my expenses for clothes and makeup." But she didn’t give up. She held on to her dream even if the whole world seemed just as persistent in discouraging her. "I was really patient," Ara explains. "I didn’t rush things. I waited for my time. I just kept telling myself that I’d make it someday. That it was all in God’s time."

This valuable life lesson she shares with her friends who are now starting their own careers in the corporate world. "I tell them be patient," Ara remarks. "They complain that it’s so hard daw to earn money these days. Imagine they work hard the whole day and they only earn P8,000 to P10,000 a month. Whenever they feel bad about their work, I remind them of how I started in showbiz. I also started with nothing…"

Nothing but the iron will to succeed.

But look at where she is right now. She has really gone a long way from the hungry days of her youth–when she was hungry both for fame and love. Nowadays, she is generally acknowledged as one of the hottest actresses today.

She juggles her schedules with her various provincial and corporate gigs, TV work (besides being an in-demand guest, Ara is part of the soap opera Kung Mawawala Ka and Bubble Gang in Channel 7) and her film shootings (she is now doing The Cory Quirino Kidnap Files under Golden Lions Films). And now, Ara was tapped by RTW company Maldita to be their newest endorser (is it serendipity that Ara was launched in the movie aptly titled Maldita?).

For the Maldita campaign, Ara was made to pose in a fun and unconventional layout with a lot of character. Ara welcomed this image because "it’s not my usual sexy and seductive pose. The shoot was really fun!"

Maldita boutiques are located in almost all SM and Robinsons malls. It will soon open its flagship store in Ayala Center Glorietta and is owned by the amiable couple Eric and Emelda Teng.
