JKV stays unbeaten; Palfox, Spit On Them stun rivals
CEBU, Philippines — Team JKV maintained its perfect start while Palfox and Spit On Them shocked their previously unbeaten rivals in the resumption of Hoop Nation Developmental League (HNDL)-Sunday Night Hoops Season 2 powered by Sunsport at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Darrel Ebale scattered 22 points, seven rebounds, and four assists as JKV thrashed Seda, 69-50, in duel of undefeated teams.
JKV thus firmed up its grip of the solo lead in the South Division with an immaculate 4-0 record. Seda fell to 2-1.
On the other hand, Jason Lazaro cashed in 15 points on top of eight boards and three dimes as the Benchwarmer slammed Samsung, 71-56, to snap out of its three-game jinx.
In the North Division, Junde Celocia scored 19 points laced with seven rebounds and three assists as Palfox upset the RNK Builders, 59-56, while Michael Lapuz collected 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals to power Spit On Them to a 65-59 stunner against the Central Bloc-kers.
Palfox now holds a 2-3 slate, while Spit On Them finally barged into the win column after three failed attempts.
The RNK Builders dropped to 3-1 while the Central Bloc-kers saw their four-game winning streak come to a screeching halt. — EBV
