CEBU, Philippines — The second edition of the Trail Lawyers Program’s charity bike event spearheaded by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Cebu Chapter over the weekend was a huge success.

Realizing the importance of outdoor activities to maintain a healthy emotional, mental and physical well-being among its members amid the pandemic, IBP-Cebu led by its president Cheryl Pamela P. Condat organized the Trail Lawyers in the last quarter of 2020.

They staged their maiden event on December 12 last year following the northern route from the IBP-Cebu in Capitol to El Mar Resort in Sogod, Cebu.

The second edition of the Trail Lawyers headed by chairman Michael Francis Hubahib was down south last Sunday, May 23, a 60-kilometer ride from Capitol to Taloot, Argao.

Held in coordination with Alen Pita and Jonathan Villegas, it was participated in by members of ManLaw, YLAC, Spectra Legis, Militis Lex, and Siklistang Abogado group.

“This time, the Trail Lawyers bring along another project called Back to Work, Bike to Work wherein 25 brand new bikes from generous law organizations, lawyers and friends of lawyers will be donated to qualified beneficiaries that cycles to work. This is part of the chapter’s efforts to celebrate the Laborers – fitting for the month of May,” said Condat.

“For our most latest undertaking, 4 out of 15 bicycles were turned over to deserving beneficiaries in the South of Cebu,” Condat added. “Through this one of a kind program, the IBP-Cebu Chapter hits two purposes – Service to the Members and Service to the Community.” — EBV
