Yu, Uybengkee rule CETBA tourney
CEBU, Philippines — Senior bowlers Joseph Yu and Cynthia Uybengkee topped their respective divisions in the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) Friday Group weekly bowling tournament held at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center the other day.
Yu, a 30-handicapper, ruled the men’s division with his 158, 159, 223 and 181 scores, a total of 841 pinfalls in a four-game series.
Senior bowler Mando Despojo who put up a total of 837 pinfalls settled at second place, while Ronan Barredo finished third with 796 pinfalls.
Marvin Sevilla (796) and Jerry Davis (787) occupied the fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Wound up sixth to ninth place were Bonnie Tanchuangko (778), John Nelson (732), Rommel Calipay (699) and Pepe Delos Reyes (693).
The 41-handicapper Uybengkee, for her part, won the women’s side after knocking down a total 820 pinfalls from her 186, 129, 168 and 173 scores.
While Seniors kegler Inday Aguilar with 792 pinfalls and Johna Calipay with 724 settled at second and third place, respectively. (FREEMAN)
