Coaches, organizers ready for Sinulog Football Fest

CEBU, Philippines - In preparation for the upcoming edition of  the 2014 Sinulog Football Festival, coaches together with the tournament organizers will conduct their final meeting tomorrow at the Cebu City Sports Center.

This year’s Sinulog Cup will kick off on January 11 in two venues namely the San Roque Parish Football field and Aboitiz Sports Field in Subangdaku Mandaue.

The competition features under-7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 18, inter-BPO, men's and ladies' open and the 38-above division.

The under 7 to 11 divisions can have a mixed gender in a team while the under 15, 18 and inter-BPO will have a boys’ and girls' divisions. The rest of the categories will be for male players only.

The participating teams will play in a 7-a-side format except for the under-7 which will follow a five-a-side.

To avoid delays, the organizers are limiting the number of teams per division to a maximum of 10 except for the men's open which will have 20 teams allowed.

Organizers are also reminding all interested teams that one should be registered with the sanctioning CFA to be able to join the event.
