CEPCA’s July tourney this pm

CEBU, Philippines - The July edition of the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association (CEPCA) Monthly Tournament will take place today at the Deep Clue Cafe in SM City-Cebu.

The mind-draining battle promptly starts at 1 pm.

Jun Olis of the organizing CEPCA said they are expecting at least 24 players to take part in the 5-round Swiss system competition. For time control, A players will be given 15 minutes and B players 20 minutes to finish the game.

The top finisher will advance into the grand finals this December together with early qualifiers Atty. Jong Melendez (January), NM Arnold Cadiz (February), Percival Fiel (March), Maggi Dionson (April), Manuel Abucay (May), and Jun Kidlat (June). (FREEMAN)
