Garcia, Si top CCC Founder's Cup

CEBU, Philippines - Bayani Garcia and Andrew Si lead the winners of last weekend’s Founders Cup played at the Cebu Country Club.

Garcia fired three-under-par 69 strokes, which was good for 39 points in the Stableford Scoring System to bag the lowest gross honors.

He fired four under-par 32 strokes on the front nine and made one-over-par 37 on the back en route to breaking par for the round.

Si won the lowest net plum with a score of nine-under-par 45 points off a gross score of 80 strokes.

The class A title went to Kiyofumi Takahashi with a net score of four-under-par 40 points beating Jon Joseph Alvarez in the countback. 

Alvarez settled for the first runner-up honors also with 40 points while second runner-up was Andre Borromeo with 39 points.

The class B title went to Douglas Gacasan with 41 points followed by Alvin Alazas with 40 and Allan Lua with 37 beating Loy Garate, Eugene Tio, and Eric Borja in the countback.

Jacinto Limyutian fired 39 points to top class C. Second place went to Nestor Mendoza with 38 while Steve Alcoseba was third with 37 edging Bob Gothong and Justin Uy.

Pio Go ran away with the class D title shooting 39 points. Second place went to Aljim Jamandre with 35 while third place went to Naotsugu Isobe with 32 edging Ruben Almendras in the countback.

Eddie Ong ruled the seniors’ division, which was exclusive to players aged 60 years old and above.

Ong fired 42 points while second place went to Clifford Celdran with 40 and third place went to Lor Alaan with 38.
